Features and Mode of Action
Buprofezin works through both contact and stomach action. Once ingested by pests or contacted, it disrupts the synthesis of chitin, a critical component in the formation of an insect’s exoskeleton. Without proper exoskeleton formation, the pest cannot molt, ultimately leading to its death. This results in the death of immature insects, especially nymphal whiteflies, before they can mature and reproduce.
It’s especially beneficial in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs due to its unique mode of action that minimizes the risk of resistance development. The Wettable Powder formulation allows for easy mixing and application, providing uniform coverage for optimal pest management.

- Pymetrozine can permanently paralyze the mouth parts of piercing-sucking pests, so that they cannot feed normally and quickly stop damaging the crop and die from hunger. The compound preparation has excellent effects in controlling rice planthoppers.
