Features and Mode of Action

Difenoconazole 25% EC is a fungicide that belongs to the triazole class of fungicides. It works by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. Ergosterol is a sterol that plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity and function of fungal cell membranes. The mode of action of difenoconazole involves interference with the activity of an enzyme called cytochrome P450-dependent 14α-demethylase, which is involved in the conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane.
