Features and Mode of Action

Profenofos acts on the nervous system by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase (ACh), an enzyme responsible for hydrolyzing acetylcholine so that the excitation action at the nerve synapse ends. Inhibition of ACh causes accumulation of acetylcholine, which causes hyperarousal, suffocation, respiratory failure, and ultimately death.

It is an enhanced contact and stomach action insecticide for foliar and stem application and is active particularly against sucking and chewing pests with broad spectrum long residual activity and provide long term better Plant Protection solution.
