Mancozeb is a dithiocarbonate non-systemic fungicide with multi-site, protective action on contact. It is a combination of two other dithiocarbonates: Maneb and Zineb. Mancozeb reacts with, and inactivates, the sulfhydryl groups of amino acids and enzymes of fungal cell, resulting in disruption of lipid metabolism, respiration, spore germination and production of adenosine triphosphate.
