Yuchong 28% OD herbicide is generally used for broad-spectrum weed control in crops like maize (corn) and other cereals.
- Terbuthylazine: A triazine herbicide that inhibits photosynthesis, primarily controlling broadleaf and grassy weeds.
- Topramezone: A pyroxasulfone-derived herbicide that inhibits HPPD (4-Hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase), effectively controlling tough broadleaf weeds and some grass species.
- OD Formulation: Oil Dispersion improves absorption, rainfastness, and overall effectiveness.

Features and Mode of Action
- Terbuthylazine blocks the photosynthetic electron transport chain at Photosystem II (PSII) by binding to the D1 protein, preventing the plant from converting light energy into chemical energy. This leads to a disruption in ATP and NADPH production, ultimately causing chlorosis and death of susceptible weeds.
- Topramezone inhibits the HPPD enzyme, which is crucial for carotenoid biosynthesis. Carotenoids protect chlorophyll from degradation, so when they are inhibited, chlorophyll breaks down, leading to bleaching (whitening of leaves), necrosis, and plant death.
