- Tribenuron-Methyl- is a sulfonylurea herbicide that inhibits the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS), which is essential for the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids. This inhibition disrupts protein synthesis, cell division, and plant growth, ultimately leading to plant death.
